Robert Burton Walsh, age 88, Hantsport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at the Dykeland Lodge, Windsor.

Born on May 1, 1933, at Long Island, New York. Robert was the son of the late Lawson and E. Ada (Smith) Walsh.

Robert went to work right out of school at the Minas Basin Pulp and Power until he retired. He was a member of the Hantsport Fire Department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing or sitting on his deck at home watching the Hantsport Shamrocks play ball. He also enjoyed spending time at his cottage with Evelyn on Whalen Lake “his happy place”.

He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn (2018); brothers, William “Bill” (Beatrice); John Lawson (5 months); G. Paul (Noreen); Richard (Sarah “Sally”).

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the loving care shown to both Robert and Evelyn during their stay at the Dykeland Lodge.

A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 (masks & social distancing required) in the Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
