CAREY, Anne Margaret — 97, for­merly of Hantsport, passed away Sun­day, June 10, 2012, in Wolfville Nurs­ing Home. Born in Avondale, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Manson and Irene (Boyd) Sanford. Throughout her working career, she had been em­ployed in retail sales and had own­ed and operated a confectionary store in Hant­sport. She was a member of the Women’s Mission­ary Society of Avonport and was a Brownie leader. She played the organ for many years in Avonport and Hantsport churches as well as school concerts and was an accompanist for the Kings County Music Festival. She was prede­ceased by her husband, Everett Ca­rey; daughter, Janis Reeves; step­daughter, Mauretia Dunfield; step­sons, Orren and Earl; sister, Fredia Andrews; brothers, Avon, Morien and Oris; grandson, Bill Carey. Burial will take place in Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville.
