    Richard Wayne Beckwith
    Born on May 21, 1944 in Windsor, Richard went home to his Lord Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at home, surrounded by his loving family and his loyal dog, Daisy May. He was the oldest child of the late Cecil and Harriett (Greendlund) Beckwith.

    Richard lived his life in Lockhartville. He achieved his first class Stationary Engineer’s Ticket, Programmable Logic Controlling Diploma, Stationary Engineer refrigeration Second-Class Ticket and Canadian Industrial Supervisors Diploma. He started his career at Minas Basin Pulp and Power in Hantsport and he continued and finished his career at what is now known as Valley Regional Hospital, in Kentville, at the power plant.

    Richard was a very caring, loving and compassionate son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

    There will be a private, immediate family-only, graveside service held at a later date with Rev. Father Tom Henderson officiating. Donations in memory of Richard may be made to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, PO Box 52, Hantsport, NS B0P 1P0.
