    DUNCANSON, Edith Frances - 91, Hortonville, Kings County, died March 24, 1994, in the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital, Wolfville. Born in Hortonville, she was a daughter of the late Hibbert and Jane (Sweet) Coffill. She was a lifelong resident of Hortonville; member of St. Andrew's United Church, Wolfville and UCW and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her son, Basil, Hortonville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Cyril; brother, Arthur; three sisters, Blanche, Gertrude, Lillian. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. tonight, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Saturday in H.C. Lindsay Memorial Chapel, Wolfville. Funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Andrew's United Church, Rev. Gilbert Todd officiating.
    Burial will be in Willowbank Cemetery, Wolfville. Family flowers only by request. Donations may be made to the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital, Wolfville.

    Edith married Cyril Ronan Duncanson in 1924 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Cyril (son of Stephen Benjamin Duncanson and Willia Ann Dodge) was born on 23 Feb 1893 in Lockhartville, Kings, Nova Scotia; died on 2 Jun 1977 in Wolfville, Kings, Nova Scotia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Basil Colin Duncanson - 78, of Hortonville, Kings County, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Hortonville, he was the only child of the late Cyril and Edith (Coffill) Duncanson. He attended the one-room school house in Hortonville and later attended Horton Academy. A well-known businessman, he worked with his father, beginning in 1958, at the C.R. Duncanson and Son Paving Company, which later became Basil Duncanson Enterprises Limited. In 1968, he and his wife, Beverly opened Duncanson Ski-Doo, which they owned and operated for many years. He loved his dogs, was an avid history buff and enjoyed outdoor sports, including snowmobiling and water skiing. He also enjoyed seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. There was no visitation, by request. A graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2014 in the Willow Bank Cemetery, Wolfville, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. A reception followed in the family home, 70 King Street, Hortonville, NS. Donations in memory may be made to the Valley Regional Hospital - Carey Me Fund, the Kings County S.P.C.A. or the charity of your choice.
