    HOYT, Beatrice Mann — 92, of Cen­tre Burlington, Hants Co., passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013, in the Hants Community Hospital, Wind­sor. Born on April 3, 1920, in Centre Burlington, she was the only child of the late Harry and Hazel (Mann) Card. Beatrice was a former school teacher for 32 years, having taught in River­side, Upper Bur­lington, Centre Burlington and re­tired from Dr. Ar­thur Hines Ele­mentary School, Summerville. She was a long-time member of Leila Re­bekah Lodge, No.59, Windsor and the Centre Burlington United Church. Besides her par­ents, she was predeceased by her hus­band, Leslie Hoyt (1958); her daugh­ter, Marilyn Ogilvie (2012); grand­daughter, Angela Hoyt (2011); long­time friend, Archie Blackburn (2003). A private fam­ily interment will be held in Centre Burlington Cemetery.

    Beatrice married Leslie Hilton Hoyt on 15 Jul 1939 in Windsor, Hants, Nova Scotia. Leslie (son of John Frederick Hoyt and Annie Sarah King) was born on 9 Sep 1907 in Windsor, Hants, Nova Scotia; died on 4 Mar 1958 in Windsor, Hants, Nova Scotia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    OGILVIE (Hoyt), Marilyn Clara — 72, Summerville, passed away peace­fully on March 7, 2012, in Hants Com­munity Hospital, Windsor, with her family at her side. Born in Centre Bur­lington, she was a daughter of Bea­trice (Card) Hoyt and the late Leslie Hoyt. Marilyn was a tireless worker in her community, especially for Kempt United Baptist Church and Summer­ville Volunteer Fire Department since its inception. She was well-known for her dedication, her determination, her guidance, and her devotion to her fam­ily, who were the jewels in her crown. A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 11, at 2 p.m. in Kempt United Baptist Church, Summerville, Lic. Betty Parker officiating with a pri­vate family burial in Loyal Hill Ceme­tery, Summerville, followed by a re­ception in Summerville Fire Hall.
