    Sergeant (Ret.) David Earl Pitts, 56, of Lockhartville, passed away suddenly of natural causes on August 12th, 2017, at the family home.

    David was predeceased by his father, Richard Wesley Pitts, as well as his grandparents, Earl and Marjorie Wasson.

    David was a proud member of the Canadian Forces, having served a distinguished 25-year career in the Air Force. Amongst his numerous accomplishments, David was most proud of his service overseas, which included time spent in Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Panama, Kuwait, Bahrain, Italy, and Germany as well as many other countries. David was fascinated by culture and thoroughly enjoyed his experiences travelling the world. He would often speak of his time spent interacting with locals and was known for his kindness and sense of humour.

    David loved the outdoors and would often spend his time tracking wildlife, hiking and fishing. David had a passion for learning and would often be seen with a book in his hands. He was inherently creative, funny, loving, and entirely devoted to his family. He was a hero to his daughters and was loved deeply by his wife and family.
