    Alan Rae DUNBAR — Gaspereau

    Age 66 of Gaspereau, passed away on February 23, 2024. He was born in Windsor, NS, on September 14, 1957 to the late Gerald and Margaret Dunbar. Alan grew up in Hants Border and went to sea for the first part of his career, working as a bosun on oil tankers. After meeting his wife, Carol (Peet), he came ashore and they spent the last 12 years working in Fort McMurray, AB. He retired to Nova Scotia in 2023 with plans to enjoy his family, and do some camping and hunting. In addition to his parents, Alan was predeceased by his stepson, Luke Durling. “Alan will be greatly missed by all.” Cremation has taken place, and as per his request, no service. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or charity of your choice.
