FAULKNER (McInnis), Iona Lillian

Our precious mother, Iona Lillian (McInnis) Faulkner, formerly of Hantsport, passed away peacefully in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, on December 28, 2020 at the age of 83. She was born January 28, 1937 in Greenfield, Kings Co., where she grew up with her parents, the late Walter and Eva (Harvie) McInnis, and 11 other siblings. Iona worked proudly for CKF Inc., Hantsport for an outstanding 45 years of service. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved grandson, Mark Faulkner; brother, Gilbert; sisters, Leta Mayo, Beatrice Pick, Daisy Hancock, Audrey Leighton, Vera Clowry, Flossie Bruce, Louise Mcinnis, and an infant sister. A private funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 5th in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport. No flowers by request, however, donations in memory of Iona may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia, 112-2719 Gladstone St., Halifax, NS B3J 4W6.

Donna Darlene Sanford
With broken hearts and much love, we announce the passing of Donna Darlene Sanford, age 60, on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Halifax Infirmary Site, QEII, Halifax. Born on April 3, 1962, in Windsor, she was a daughter of Donnie and the late Iona (McInnis) Faulkner.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, she loved spending time with her family. She would help anyone she could and was a social butterfly who enjoyed catching up with the other regular customers at Tim Hortons. She was a dedicated employee at CKF Inc. for 42 years until her retirement.

Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her husband of 28 years, Roger; and son, Mark.

Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A Celebration of Life for both Donna and Roger will take place on August 20, 2022, from 2-4pm at the Centre Burlington Hall, 3554 Hwy 215, Centre Burlington. Donations in memory of Donna may be made to Sandy Land Cemetery, 837 Walton Woods Rd, Cogmagun, B0N 2A0.
