Born on November 18, 1950, in Kentville, he was a son of the late Jim Coburn and Doris (Saulnier) Coburn-Waye. George was a member of the Canadian Forces for several years, and had also worked in the salvage and recycling business in Edmonton, Alta. George was a kind-hearted man who was liked by everyone that knew him. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather, Harry Waye; brother, Donnie; nephew, Joey LeCouter.
