- SANFORD, Stanley Ellsworth
It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Stanley Ellsworth Sanford, 92, who passed on January 26, 2018, in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born in Avondale, he was the oldest child of the late Charles and Mabel Elsie (Connors) Sanford. Stanley was a veteran of the Second World War and served overseas. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Hantsport (Past President) and Windsor Branches. He was employed at Minas Basin Pulp and Paper Company, Hantsport, for 41 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Windsor United Church, the United Church Men’s Club, and Newport Jolly Seniors. Stanley was predeceased by his brother, Lester; and sister, Marie DeMont.
