  	Muriel Elizabeth (Smith) Morine, 86 of Avonport, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2021 in the Valley Regional Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Grand Pré, she was the daughter of the late Bower and Leona Smith. Muriel adored life and what it had to offer. For her entire life, she loved fishing and could sit for hours on end even if she didn’t catch anything. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and as time went forward, she added knitting and rug hooking into her favorite hobbies. She owned and operated the Grand Pré Grocery as well as being a post-mistress with Canada Post for 23 years. Besides her parents, Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Ivan Frank Morine 1929-1998; her siblings, Marjorie, Bernice, Reginald, Maurice, Alvin, and Keith. Special thanks to the home dialysis program at QEII, the VON, staff on Medical ‘B’ in the Valley Regional Hospital and to Dr. Colin Burgoyne.
