    • ALLEY, Edward Ralston "Ed" - 68, Berwick, Kings Co., passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2006, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born and brought up in Hantsport, he was a son of Ella Mary (Strong) Alley, Bedford, and the late William Stockwell Alley. He retired from Maritime Tel & Tel Company in December of 1997 and continued his passion of gardening, specializing in dahlias. Ed started his business, E & S Dahlias, and sold tubers and cut flowers. He was predeceased by his father, Bill Alley.

      A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 2nd, from the Berwick Baptist Church, Berwick. Rev. Murray Shaw officiating. Private interment in the Berwick Cemetery following the service. A reception to follow in the Annex of the church .Family flowers only. Donations in Ed's memory maybe made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Berwick Baptist Church or a charity of one's choice.
