- COCHRANE, Florence Gertrude
Age 88, of Hantsport, died peacefully on January 31, 2019, with her family by her side. She was born in Wentworth, Hants Co., on April 10, 1930 to the late Frank and Stella (Fletcher) Phillips. Florence worked as a house mother to the nurses in Payzant Memorial Hospital. Then she went on to work as a Nurses Aid, working in Payzant Memorial Hospital and Hants Community Hospital for 29 years. Florence enjoyed knitting and baking, which she enjoyed sharing with her family and friends. She was Mom and Grammy to her kids as well as every kid in the community. She was loved and respected by all. Florence enjoyed Camping at Fox Mountain Campground. She was always looking for a new team to beat at Washer Toss, the game she loved most. She also loved playing crib and 45’s, bowling and the Seniors Games. Florence will be remembered for her big heart full of love for family and friends. Florence was predeceased by sisters, Virginia Bulger and Joan Warner; brothers, Harry \'Had\', Ryle, Herbert \'Herb\' and Walter \'Wad\'; and daughter-in-law, Karen Mack.
