    • Windsor, September 17 - A well-known Hantsport barber, James Lemuel Dowe of William Street, Hantsport, died today at the Eastern Kings Memorial Hospital, Wolfville, at the age of 74 years. The son of the late Samuel and Matilda Dowe of Port Greville, Cumberland County, he lived there until 1933 when he came to Hantsport. A member of the Oddfellows Lodge for a good part of his life, he became a member in 1919 at Advocate Harbour, Cumberland County. He was also a member of the Baptist Church at Port Greville. He followed the barbering trade for over 40 years before retiring last year from the business he established in Hantsport 20 odd years ago. Besides his widow, Minnie Cecilia, he is survived by three sons, Carl, Hantsport; Conrad, Wolfville; and Lawrence, Oshawa, Ont.
