- ANDERSON, Alastair \'Gordon\'
Of Hantsport, originally from Corner Brook, N.L., in his 84th year, died peacefully in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Besides his parents, Harry and Allison (Dean) (of Newcastle on Tyne, England), Gordon was predeceased by sisters, Margaret and Cecil (Corner Brook, N.L.); and brother-in-law, Parker Regan (Windsor). Gordon worked 25 years for the Bank of Montreal, serving in Curling, Corner Brook, Botwood and St. John’s, N.L., Moncton, N.B., and Halifax. He enjoyed a second career with Modern Paving in St. John’s, N.L., before retiring to Hantsport. He was an active member and contributor to Avon United Church, Hantsport. He will be remembered for his gregarious laugh and participation in community activities, especially cards. Interment will take place following the reception in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
