  	Churchill, Violet Mae, 103, of Gladys Manning, Windsor, formerly of Scotch Village and Hantsport, N.S. passed away peacefully on Feb. 24, 2025, in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born January 6, 1922, in Upper Burlington, she was a daughter of the late David “Abner” and Mary (Hayes) Barkhouse and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents Violet was predeceased by her first husband James Rhodes (1956) and her second husband Winston Churchill (2001) her daughter Shirley (Sanford) Ruggles and her 12 siblings. A graveside committal service will take place in late April or early May (will be posted here later) in the Riverview Haven Cemetery, Brooklyn. Donations can be made to the Newport Baptist Church, Scotch Village or charity of choice.
