- With great sadness, we announce the passing of Doreen Novella (Banks) Fraser of Topsail, after a short but very courageous battle with leukemia. Doreen was the daughter of the late Arthur and Thelma Banks, Hantsport, NS, and was predeceased by her brother Ronald Banks. Doreen will be remembered for her steadfast love and dedication for family and friends, her wonderful sense of humour, and for her appreciation of beautiful flowers and gardening. Floral arrangements are gratefully accepted. In lieu of flowers, blood donations to the Canadian Blood Services or donations to the Parkinson’s Society in Doreen’s memory will be appreciated. Visitation will be at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s on Wednesday, June 13th and Thursday, June 14th, from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Topsail on Friday, June 15th at 11 a.m. with interment to follow in St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Topsail.
