      October 28, 1935 January 8, 2019. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Amelia Starratt of Leduc, Alta., at the age of 83. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Hattie (Stonehouse) Demings. She was predeceased by brothers, Ronald, Fraser and Carl; sisters, Dorothy Porter and Evelyn Walsh. Shirley was blessed with an awesome gift of music which she generously shared with her family, friends and community. Cremation has taken place and a committal service will be in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in Shirley’s memory may do so to The Arthritis Society or a charity of one’s choice.
