- It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Judith "Diane" Brown on June 11, 2025, at Dykeland Lodge, Windsor with her family by her side. Diane was 76. Born on August 16, 1948, she was the daughter of Doreen and the late Ronald Carey.
Diane grew up on McKinley Road, Mount Denson and attended Windsor Regional. On August 27, 1966, she married Dennis Brown. Shortly after, they ventured to Manitouwadge, Ontario as Dennis took a job working in the copper mines. After two years they returned home to Nova Scotia.
Diane briefly worked at Nova Scotia Textiles in Windsor and then sold Avon for many years while raising her family. She enjoyed knitting, ceramics and baking her delicious hot milk cake for family and friends. Always willing to help anyone she could, along the way.
She and Dennis both loved spending time at the camp in Economy. Especially sitting on the front porch watching the hundreds of hummingbirds that arrive each summer with the family dogs by their sides.
Thank you to the staff at Dykeland Lodge for their kindness and support over the last few months.
Cremation has taken place. No funeral service or visitation by request.
