Born in Newport Station, Hants Co., he was a son of the late Fred and Lena (Pemberton) Riley. He was a retired carpenter. Surviving are sisters, Lillian (Mrs. John Lyon), Avondale, Hants Co.; Laura (Mrs. Earl Smith), Mildred (Mrs. Oliver Giffin), Lorraine (Mrs. John Brownrigg), Eileen (Mrs. Karl Saunders), Ella (Mrs. Graham Clark), Dartmouth; Jean (Mrs. Burtis Crouse), Lower Sackville; Vera (Mrs. Wilbur Lantz), Newport Station; Marlene (Mrs. Richard Starratt), Boston, Mass. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Norah Margaret Marshall; sister, Margaret Riley; brothers, Ralph, George, Harry. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today, funeral 2 p.m. Saturday in Lindsay's Windsor Funeral Home and chapel, Rev. David Shaw officiating. Burial in St. John's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Windsor. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society.
