- Linda (Lynn) Rae Shaw was the second daughter and last born of Ronald and Nora (Cameron) Shaw in Halifax, Nova Scotia. While growing up there so close to the ocean, she learned to sail and enjoyed horseback riding.
As a young adult, she ventured to Ontario where she met & married her husband, Samuel A. Healey (Sonny) in August of 1970. They moved to Little Fort B.C. where Sonny’s mother, brother and uncle resided. Lynn and Sonny owned and operated the Barriere Taxi Service from 1983 till 2001, where she dispatched and Sonny drove. Lynn had a great love for Shetland Sheep dogs. Training and playing with the several Shelties she owned over the years gave her much joy. She also loved putting together large puzzles, playing cards, bingo and meat draws at the Legion.
Predeceased by her parents Nora (1979), Ronald (1981) and her husband Sam (Sonny) (2017). Although Lynn lived in B.C., she did fly back east for a variety of family events. Now a part of her will make a final trip home to Halifax to be laid to rest along side other family members.
Her family wish to express great gratitude for the doctors, nurses and many support staff of Royal Inland Hospital & Pine Grove Seniors Community. A special thank-you to Rachel and Ruby for their kindness and understanding as well as MaryAnn of Drake Cremation and Funeral Services.
