- It is with much sadness, love and gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of our father, Charlton Beverly Levy on November 27th, 2024. Dad was born on October 2nd,1929 to the late Stanley and Elsie (Eisenhauer) Levy. He was the loving husband for 67 years to the late Marie (Anderson) Levy. Dad was the youngest and last surviving member of his family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Merle Schofield (Hedley) and Ida Mae Smith (Kenneth), and brothers Lloyd (Ruby), Ivan (Leona), Arnel (Helen), and Orin (Greta). Dad graduated from Normal College and Acadia with his Bachelor of Education. He taught school for 35 years in Grand Pre, Avonport, Horton District, Wolfville, and Gaspereau. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Annapolis Valley Home Care; the staff at R.E.A.L. Residence in Windsor; and to Grand View Manor in Berwick for providing Dad with affection and "home away from home" care during these past two years. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10th at Gaspereau Baptist Church, where the funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11th, followed by a reception at the White Rock Community Centre. Donations may be made to the Gaspereau Baptist Church or Gaspereau Cemetery.
