Born in Iserlohn, Germany, on May 26, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Burgess and Dorothy (Smith) Van Tassell. Karen worked at Frito Lay in Kentville for over 20 years. She was a big lover of animals and loved to take care of her hobby farm. A celebration of Life in memory of Karen will be held on July 30th from 2-4 p.m. in Hants Border Community Hall – 13893 Hwy. 1. A private family burial will be held in Hantsport Cemetery at a later date.
