- Betty Ann Beckwith (Peach) born in Windsor NS on June 30th, 1945. Died the wee hours on July 14th, 2025.
She was a daughter to Austin Peach born in Falmouth and Lottie (Wile) Peach born in Wile settlement.
She married Richard Beckwith of Lockhartville on November 16, 1963.
Mom was a great cook and could make the most delicious meals out of nothing. Mom and dad enjoyed eating out whether it be Chinese food eating at the Big Stop or just coffee and a donut at Tim's with family and friends. They enjoyed camping and met many wonderful people.
Mom was very involved with the Anglican church. She was not afraid of death and took solace in knowing that the Lord would take great care of her.
Mom loved gardening, planting small plots of beans, tomatoes and cucumbers in her later life. She loved fishing and would talk about going often even when she physically could not. She still has a current fishing license!
She enjoyed singing old hymns and old country songs. Often you would see mom dancing to these tunes in front of her big picture window. She sang beautifully except when you were awakened in the morning to the song “I'll be calling you”
She enjoyed watching Lucifer and spent nights watching this show with the kind Windsor Elms staff. At the Elms she enjoyed shopping, going for rides and going for ice cream, baking or just getting outside to their beautiful gardens. The Windsor Elms were very kind to mom to which we give our deepest gratitude.
Mom was predeceased by her devout husband Richard, her brother Wayne and his wife Doris, sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Ronnie Barkhouse, nephews Danny and Terry Barkhouse. We the family know her loved ones helped guide her to her final home in heaven. Save a place for us mom. We love you. Give dad a hug, a kiss and an EEK! from us all. Love you mom.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Riverbank Cemetery in Hantsport.
Donations in Betty’s honour may be made to the Windsor Elms Palliative Care, 174 Falmouth Dyke Rd, Falmouth, NS B0P 1P0.
