- Aubrey Gordon Harvey
Age 90 of West Gore formerly of Hantsport, passed away peacefully at the QEII Hospital, Halifax on June 7th, 2021. Born on September 25th, 1930 in Rawdon Gold Mines, he was the eldest of 9 children to the late Seymour and Edna (Barron) Harvey. Aubrey had several jobs over the years but spent a total of 38 years working construction where he would later retire from in 1994. He was a lifetime member of the United Church. Aubrey and his wife Pauline spent many years enjoying music festivals with their camping buddies. Life slowed down in his latter years, spending more time at home with family and friends stopping in for a chuckle and catching up on the local news. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan and enjoyed a game of crib or 45’s. Besides his parents Aubrey is predeceased by his first wife Maude (Hill), second wife Pauline (Sanford), daughter Elizabeth (Roulston), grandson Anthony Miller, siblings Ernest, Ed, Bobby, Russell, Hughie, Emhert and Cora (Ed). There will be a graveside committal service held on Saturday June 26th, 2021 in the West Gore Cemetery, Rev. Bill Gibson officiating.
