  	It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, wife, grandmother, Maxine H. (Porter) Trask, formerly of Cromarty Street, Sydney, on Monday, March 5, 2012, at the Cove Guest Home, after a lengthy illness. Born in Falmouth, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Hulda (Lenihan) Porter. In 1955, Maxine completed her RN from the Victoria General Hospital, where she worked and met her devoted husband, Dr. B. C. Trask. They moved to British Columbia and then to Sydney, where they began their family. Maxine loved to be with family and friends, most notably enjoying their company at the cottage in Ben Eoin. Maxine was predeceased by her brothers, Stan, Donald and Everett. At Maxine’s request, cremation has take place. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at First United Church on Thursday 2 p.m., with Rev. Wade Reppert officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
