- DOUCETTE, Louis Joseph "Lou"
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend Louis "Lou" Joseph Doucette. Lou passed away peacefully in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by close family on August 22, 2020. Born in Yarmouth in 1932, he moved with his family to Hantsport in 1964. He worked at Canadian Keyes Fiber (CKF) for 25 years, was a retired member of Unifor Local 576, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion as well as a devoted veteran of the Hantsport Fire Department for 25 years. Lou had a great sense of humour, enjoyed fishing, curling, playing softball, watching Hockey Night in Canada, being "Mr. Fix It", time at the cottage on Mockingee Lake and spending time with his many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also loved his 21 years as a snowbird spending time in Florida with his Romany Park family. Lou was predeceased by his parents, Perley and Margaret; sisters, Mariette and Vangie; brother, Bud and son-in-law, Bill Fauria.
