    • DEWAR, Suzanne Teretiaiti Maifano — May 11, 1937 - November 5, 2010, departed this life after a cou­rageous battle with cancer. She was the first Tahitian immigrant to receive Canadian Citizenship in Nova Scotia and became a proud Haligonian as a long serving employee of the Holiday Inn’s Polynesian Restaurant. In later years she became a respected and compassionate Senior caregiver. She was predeceased by her life partner, Paul Legere; ex-husband, Wayne De­war. Her wish was to be remembered in the hearts of many friends and family in Halifax and Annapolis Valley. Donations in memory of Suzanne can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
