    • Hilda Renda Higgin - 96, of Hantsport, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Wolfville, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bessie (Brown) Millett. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She had been employed for many years as a supervisor with Sanisteam Laundry, Wolfville. She loved dancing and enjoyed travelling, especially to the warm climate of Florida and Hawaii. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her first husband, Roy Jodrey; her second husband, Randall "Randy" Higgin; a daughter, Dawn and her husband, Heston Croft; a grandson, Greg Jodrey; several brothers and sisters. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service followed by a reception will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012, Reverend Terry Coldwell officiating. A private family burial will take place in the Gaspereau Cemetery, Kings County. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Valley Regional Hospital Carey Me Fund or the charity of your choice.
    • She is survived by a son, Gerald (Betty) Jodrey, Gaspereau; a daughter, Joan (Merle) Carey, Hantsport; a son, Dale (Beverly) Jodrey, Wolfville; grandchildren, Susan, Kevin, Renda, Randy, Paula, Peter, Allan, Charlyn, Jill and Robert; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
