- SPIDLE, Stephen Russell \'Spiderman\'
With broken hearts, we are saddened to share the sudden loss of Steve. Born September 14, 1950, in Wolfville, to Pearl (Barkhouse) Spidle and the late Russell Spidle. Steve was employed with Canadian Food Inspection Agency for over 27 years, retiring early due to ill health. Spider loved soccer, playing for many, many years, retiring a Proud Paddy’s Pub player. His new passion was golfing and Eagle Crest became Steve’s new home for 10 years. He not only enjoyed every game (except the loonie holes 9 and 18) but his golfing buddies also became great friends. Everyone knew Stevie was a die hard fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays, always hoping for next year! Cooking supper and a glass of wine was his favourite daily routine. John Prine was on Steve’s bucket list. He not only saw him perform but also shook his hand and told him \'You may see me tonight with an illegal smile\'. Steve loved life, lived every day to the fullest, and will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him.
