Born in Windsor on February 15, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Brett and Flossie (Swinamer) Lunn and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Joyce was the strongest and most independent of all of her siblings. She was a great storyteller, she loved good food, music and dancing. She especially enjoyed all the entertainment and bus trips that the Elms offered and rarely missed a chance to partake in what she could. Joyce deeply loved her son, Harry and he is what helped to carry her through the years after her husband, George’s death. She never complained about anything and was always very thankful and polite when anyone did anything for her.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Joyce was predeceased by her husband, George; son, Harry; sisters, Helen Fougere, Joan Starratt and June Purvis; brothers, Ron, Merrill, Fred, Mac, Wayne, Gary and Graham Lunn.
We would like to thank the Windsor Elms Village, especially Meadowview House 4, who had become her family during her stay there.
