- LaROSE, Robert Andrew
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Robert Andrew LaRose, age 71 of Halifax. Robert was born to the late Joyce (Thompson) and Louis LaRose. Robert served faithfully and proudly for the Halifax Regional Fire Department (Station 4, D Platoon) for 32 years until he retired in 2005. He was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time in the woods and on the beach in Blackrock, searching for natural wonders. He was a gifted craftsman who shared his talents with family and friends who will always treasure his handiwork. Robert was a dedicated and loyal friend who worked diligently to support friends whenever they needed a helping hand. His humour, cribbage skills and candid advice will be missed by those lucky enough to spend quality time with him.
