- WEATHERBEE, Earl William — 79, Wolfville, passed away July 9, 2011, in Grand View Manor, Berwick, where he resided for the last four months. Born December 30, 1931, he was a son of the late Gilbert and Clara (Jessop) Weatherbee. Earl enjoyed family gettogethers, politics, hockey and in his early years loved to play hockey. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a Past-President of Wolfville Lions Club and Past-President of Dr. C.B. Lumsden Branch No. 74, Royal Canadian Legion, Wolfville. Earl was a plumber by trade and had worked for the Nova Scotia Department of Highways, New Minas. Besides his parents, Earl was predeceased by stepson, Carl Smith; grandson, Chandler; sister, Shirley; brothers, Albert and Lewis. There will be no funeral by request. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, in Serenity Lindsay Funeral Home, Wolfville. Family flowers only. Interment will be in Willowbank Cemetery. Donations in memory of Earl may be made to the Grand View Manor, Berwick, Canadian Cancer Society or to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
