LOWTHERS (Harvey), Mabel Elaine
Age 74 of Hantsport, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016, in Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, N.B., with her loving family by her side. Born in Sweets Corner, Hants Co., on April 11, 1941, Mabel was a daughter of Gerald and Louise (Dykens) Harvey. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 45 years, Gordon; brothers, Herman, Rolie, Billy, Raymond, Herbie, and Norman Harvey; sisters, Vera Phillips and Helen Boyd. Mabel was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a wonderful cook and no guest left her house hungry. She worked outside the home as well. Many will remember her from the Cameron\'s/ Anstrum\'s fruit stand, where she was a mainstay for several years. Her favorite job, however, was raising her two children and having a part in caring for her four granddaughters. Nannie was always ready for a round of crib, snakes and ladders or crazy eights. Those who knew Mabel well admired her quiet strength, steadfast loyalty, kind heart and gentle soul. Burial service will be held for the family in Ste. Croix Cemetery directly following the reception.
