PATTERSON, Malcolm Allison
Age 83, of Hant­sport, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at home. Born December 25, 1930 in West Ap­ple River, Cum­berland Co., he was a son of the late Freeman and Jennie (McWhirter) Patterson. Malcolm worked at Minas Basin for 43 years as a boiler operator. He was also a loving parent who loved to have children around him. He be­longed to Hantsport Baptist Church for many years. Malcolm is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, the former Daisy M. Moore (October 6, 2013); daughter, Jennie; brothers, Leslie, Millard, Emerson, Freeman, and Reginald, and Edward, in infancy; sisters, Gertie Patterson, Elizabeth McCuspey, Christenna White, and Myrtle McCully. Fu­neral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 19 in Hantsport Baptist Church (corner of Main and Willow Streets), Rev. Mark Hunter officiating. Interment will be held in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, followed by a reception in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Malcolm married Daisy May Moore. Daisy (daughter of William Moore and Hagar Boone) was born on 4 Feb 1931 in Bareneed, Conception Bay, Newfoundland; died on 6 Oct 2013 in Windsor, Hants, Nova Scotia; was buried in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, Hants, Nova Scotia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Age 82, of Hant­sport, passed away Sunday, Oc­tober 6, 2013, in Hants Community Hospital, Wind­sor. Born Febru­ary 4, 1931, in Bareneed, Con­ception Bay, N.L., she was a daugh­ter of the late William and Hagar (Boone) Moore. Daisy enjoyed play­ing cards, bingo, going shopping and doing crossword puzzles. She loved all her visits with her grand­children and great-grandchildren. Daisy attended the Baptist Church, and was a strong believer in the Bible. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Jennie; sister, Gladys; brothers, Fred, Gus, and Gordon. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, in Hantsport Baptist Church (corner of Main and Willow Streets), Rev. Earl MacDonald officiating. Interment will be held in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, followed by a reception in the Church Fellowship Hall.

Freeman married Jennie May McWhirter on 24 Dec 1907 in West Apple River, Cumberland, Nova Scotia. Jennie (daughter of Emmerson McWhirter and Elizabeth Robinson) was born on 2 Jan 1892 in West Apple River, Cumberland, Nova Scotia; died on 26 Jan 1969 in Hantsport, Hants, Nova Scotia; was buried in Apple River, Cumberland, Nova Scotia.
