SPONAGLE, Faye Cynthia

Age 68, Avonport, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2019 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.

Born in Windsor, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Elsie (Phillips) Greenlund. Faye had been actively involved in many churches, including: St. Andrew’s Anglican Church in Hantsport, Lockhartville Baptist Church, Falmouth Baptist Church, St. Luke’s Anglican Church in Dartmouth, Anglican Parish of Wilmot and St. John’s Anglican Church, Wolfville. She was also a member of the Breast Quest Dragon Boat Society. Faye worked at Disco Food Mart, Hantsport, Lavinia’s Old English Delights, Avonport Discount (Fabrics) and Hantsport Pharmasave. She enjoyed bus trips, quilting, Hallmark Christmas movies and recently, birdwatching. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Perry Spidle.

GREENLUND, Elsie Adelia

Age 88 of Hants Border, Kings Co., passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on October 5, 1930 in Canning, Kings Co. She was a daughter of the late Omery and Esther (Daniel) Phillips. Elsie had been employed at Canadian Keyes Fibre for 40 years; being very active in the Union. She took great joy in her family and she enjoyed travelling, scratch tickets and bingo with her \'bingo buddies\', Joan Beckwith and Beth Schofield. Predeceased by her husband, Clyde \'Harry\' Greenlund; stepson, Perry Spidle; brothers, Charles and Foster; sister, Constance \'Connie\' Naugler. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 1st, in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Hantsport, Rev. Tom Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.

Charles married Esther Luella Daniel on 9 Jul 1924 in Wolfville, Kings, Nova Scotia. Esther was born about 1903 in New Ross, Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
