JEREMY, Sadie Eugene - 92, passed away in Mountain Lea Lodge Nursing Home, Bridgetown on October 9, 2005. Born in Falkland Ridge, she was the youngest daughter of the late Arthemus and Abigail Leona (White) Dorey. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a mother and homemaker. At a young age she went out to work as a mother's helper in various homes in the Middleton area and worked at the American House before her marriage to husband, Charles Jeremy. She held the family together during the five years that Charles "Charlie" was serving in the army overseas. After his return they moved to Ontario where they lived in the Hamilton/Grimsby area until their return to Nova Scotia in 1975. She was predeceased by husband, Charles in 1994; daughter, Florence (Max) Annis in 2003; grandchildren, Sylvia Allen, Steven and baby girl Annis; brothers, Lloyd, Arthur, Alvin, Solomon; sisters Beatrice, Bernice and Etta.

Sadie married CPL Charles Jesse Jeremy on 29 Sep 1930 (Roman Catholic) in Kentville, Kings, Nova Scotia. Charles (son of Abram Jeremy and Mary Jane Lewis) was born in 1906 in Parrsboro, Cumberland, Nova Scotia; died on 22 Feb 1994 in Bridgetown, Annapolis, Nova Scotia; was buried in Saint Lawrence Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kingston, Nova Scotia.
