SWAINE, Mervyn Sydney — 63, of Hantsport, passed away peacefully Monday, February 27, 2012, in Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born on February 20, 1949, he was the son of the late George Bernard and Frances (Johnston) Swaine. Mervyn worked at CKF in Hantsport for 34 years as an Industrial Mechanic, retiring in 2010. He loved camping and playing the mu­sic at the campground dances, as well as being on his computer. Mervyn was a perfectionist and a very outgoing gentlemen known best for always say­ing just what he thought. He was a member of Poyntz Lodge No. 44, A.F. & A.M., Hantsport as well as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 009, Windsor.

KNICKLE, Bernice Mary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bernice Mary (Coffin) Knickle, of Hantsport, on December 20, 2016 with her loving daughter Barb at her side. Born June 3, 1921 in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late George Coffin and Kathleen Pyke. During her later years she was known for her love of painting, cooking pies and date squares and cheering for her beloved Blue Jays. She was a remarkable woman who will be missed by all who knew her. Bernice was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Fred; and son-in law, Mervyn. The family would like to thank We Care, the Hants Community Hospital, her doctor, Cathryn Smith, and the many members of her circle of friends that made her later years so enjoyable. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
