BARBOUR, William Andrew \'Bill\' — 85, passed away in Evergreen Home for Special Care in Kentville on Sunday, February 10th, 2013. Born in Banff, Scotland on September 25th, 1927, he was a son of the late George and Nellie (Goodfellow) Barbour. At the age of four, the family sailed on the S.S. Newfoundland to Pier 21 in Halifax. During his working years, Bill was an Edgerman for various lumber mills in the area. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret (Atkinson) in 2000; brother, Melvin Hughes and sister, Nora Rae. The family would like to thank Valley Regional Hospital and the staff of Evergreen Home for Special Care for all their love, care and support shown to Bill and family. A memorial service will be held in Falmouth Baptist Church on Saturday, February 16th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dennis Leamont officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. in the church. Following the service there will be a reception at the church for those who wish to stay and share memories and stories of Bill with his family.
