ANDRESEN, Ivar Adelsten — April 19, 1928 - March 30, 2012. It is with great sadness that the Andresen fam­ily advises of the sudden but peaceful passing of Ivar Adelsten Andresen. Ivar moved to Canada from Norway when he was 18 years old. He learned english and put himself through uni­versity earning a degree in Engineer­ing. While in Montreal, he met and married his life partner Geraldine McMurray. Together they raised eight children. He spent most of his career with CIL, managing the building of many of their plants all over Canada. His final move was to Toronto where he eventually retired. He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine in 2002. A private cer­emony will be held this summer at the family cottage in Ontario.
