In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by step daughter, Shirley Lee, her husband, Darrell and granddaughter, Samantha. A private service was held on October 18, 2017 and burial of ashes will be at a later date.

Born in Wolfville, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Linda Mary (Amerault) Barkhouse. Marie worked for 36 years with Keyes Fibre, Hantsport. Marie was an active mem­ber of Hantsport Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teach­er. She served as secretary of the Kings Daughter, a fundraising organi­zation within the church and secreta­ry for the Women’s Missionary Socie­ty for 15 years. She was in the Hand Bell Choir at Dykeland Lodge. Marie enjoyed knitting, gardening and read­ing. Marie enjoyed her neighbours and making treats for them. Be­sides her parents, Marie was prede­ceased by brothers, Sonny and Howie.
