    LANGDON, Jessie Irene

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Jessie Irene Langdon, age 92 years in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, on Friday, December 27, 2019. Born in Windsor, on February 6, 1927, she was the daughter of George and Jean (Ward) Arenburg. Mom spent her formative years in Saint John, N.B., later moving to Windsor and then Hantsport, where she raised her large family. Mom was a quiet unassuming lady and devoted her life to the care of her family. Mom was often alone with her children as Dad worked at sea. Our mother always shared and made welcome to our home our many cousins and friends. It was always a safe harbour. Mom was predeceased by her loving husband of 68 years, Oscar and infant son, Gary Alan. She was the last surviving member of her family, predeceased by her three younger sisters, Janice Garland and Donna Connors (of Hantsport); and Penny Briggs (Victoria, B.C.); also half-sisters, Kathleen Lowe (South Rawdon) and Madeline Murphy (Rawdon). In her early years she was a member of the St. James UCW and former President and Treasurer of Lucknow Legion Branch, Hantsport.
