    Rowena Grace Wile (Illsley), 82, Parkland Estates, Truro, N.S. formerly of Middleton, N.S. passed away peacefully on August 17th, 2011 following a lengthy illness.

    Born in Windsor, N.S. on July 17, 1929, she was the daughter of the late William P. and E. Hazel (Hopper) Illsley.

    Grace graduated from Windsor Academy and Maritime Business College, Halifax. She was employed at N.S. Dept. of Welfare for a number of years before marrying Cecil Deal Wile in 1953 and raising her family.

    She was predeceased by an infant brother William.

    Grace was a member of Middleton Baptist Church where she served on various boards and committees, taught Sunday School, and was a life Deacon. She was also a life member of the Wilmot Garden Club where she served in many offices over the years. She served on the Board of Directors of N.S.A.G.C. and shared the N.S.A.G.C. gardener of the year award along with her husband, Cecil, in 1984. She was a qualified horticultural judge and loved gardening and flower arranging.

    Funeral Service will be held at Middleton Baptist Church, Monday August 22nd at 2pm. with Pastor Danny Smith officiating.

    Rowena married Cecil D. Wile in 1953 in Nova Scotia, Canada. Cecil (son of Willard George Wile and Bessie C. )Deal) Wile) was born on 20 Jul 1922 in Nova Scotia, Canada; died in 16 Jan 2013 (aged 90) in Middleton, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, Canada; was cremated in Falmouth Cemetery Falmouth, Hants County, Nova Scotia, Canada.
