Megan Louise "Meg" "Meggie" DANIELS — Windsor Forks
Age 30, of Windsor Forks. It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beautiful daughter, Megan on Sunday, September 11, 2022 in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Megan was one of the two bright lights in our family. She made friends wherever life took her and taught us all how to love each other regardless of the challenges which stood between us. Meggie loved life’s simple pleasures, the wind in her face while swinging on the verandah, drives in the car, bowling with friends or just hanging out holding hands with the favourite men in her life. We are going to miss Megs beautiful smile and infectious laugh! To all of Meg's friends, teachers, educational assistants and special educators who helped her over the years, thank you for helping her spread her wings and take in so much of what life had offered her. We have met some incredible people through organizations such as APSEA, Early Intervention, SMILE, The Alexander Society, New Boundaries, Kaleidoscope and the Disability Support Program. A very special thank you to Sara Woodward, Kim Zwicker and families who considered Meg one of their own. For Megan, you were caregivers, big sisters and most importantly her mother while she was in your care. We would also like to acknowledge our collective families who loved and supported Meg over the years. We couldn't have done it without you. Meg was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Douglas and Phyllis Cuvilier; paternal grandmother, Jean Daniels and uncle, Jeff Norman. Private family burial will follow in Windsor Forks Community Cemetery, Windsor Forks.

CUVILIER, Douglas Vaughn
April 9th, 1927 - January 28th, 2016. We are saddened to announce the passing of our father, grand father, great-grandfather and friend on January 28th, in Hants Community Hospital. The youngest child of Albert and Leola (Pearson), Dad called Hantsport home after moving there with his parents as a young boy. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Dad was a machinist and machine shop supervisor at Minas Basin Pulp and Power for 43 years, but he was a lifelong tinkerer and builder of all sorts of things from go carts to pontoon boats. Always willing to help out, Dad was a volunteer firefighter for over 21 years as well as serving as a town councilor and Deputy Mayor in Hantsport. He spent many hours in the running and maintenance of the HMCC Pool and served as chair of the Pool Committee on several different occasions. He taught his children and grand children the meaning of volunteering in your community. Predeceased by his wife Phyllis (MacKinlay) in 2006; his parents; siblings, Earl, Marjorie, Carl, Robert, Hilda and Frank and a son in infancy.

Douglas married Phyllis Hazel MacKinlay. Phyllis (daughter of Hugh Garfield MacKinley and Hazel Palmer) was born on 2 Aug 1927 in Mount Denson, Hants, Nova Scotia; died on 12 Nov 2006 in Windsor, Hants, Nova Scotia; was buried in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport, Hants, Nova Scotia. CUVILIER, Phyllis Hazel - 79, Hantsport. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Cuvilier on November 12, 2006, in Haliburton Place, Windsor. Born in Mount Denson, Phyllis was a daughter of the late Hugh and Hazel (Palmer) MacKinlay of Mount Denson. Phyllis was a member of St. James United Church and a life member of the United Church Women. She joined the choir at the age of 16 and stayed a member for over 50 years. She was a well-respected member of her church and community. She loved cooking, playing bridge, and family occasions and gatherings. A kind and caring person, Phyllis was known for her kind words and great love and devotion to her faith, family and friends. In earlier years, Phyllis worked at the Apple Marketing Board, MacKenzies Creamery and after raising her family, she returned to work at Home Hardware. She enjoyed going to Ponhook Lake, it was one of her favourite spots. Phyllis will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her, and whose lives she touched. Besides her parents, Phyllis was predeceased by brother, Hugh, and a son in infancy.
