    Age 96 of Halifax, passed away June 13, 2016, in Camp Hill Veteran’s Memorial Building, QEII. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late William and Katherine (Smith) Reid. Ed was an engineer with the Nova Scotia Department of Highways all his working life. He was an avid bridge and cribbage player. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by brother, Clarence Reid; sisters, Lauris, Josephine; half-sister, Margaret and infant brother, John.

    REID, Christine Howden, age 97, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2019 at Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Hospital. Born in Kirkintilloch, Scotland, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Hogg) Robertson. Before joining the Royal Air Force, Christine completed two years at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. While serving as a radar operator, she met and married her husband of over 70 years, Ed Reid. She immigrated to Canada as a war bride. Christine was a homemaker who enjoyed the daily crossword puzzle and the crypto quote. She continued to learn by taking both French and computer classes. She also enjoyed knitting, gardening, playing crib, bridge and watching the Toronto Blue Jays. She will be remembered for her quick wit. She was predeceased by her husband, James Edmund Reid; brother, Andrew Robertson, England.
