Shirley Clayton — Bedford

Age 89, Bedford, passed away on December 16, 2020 in Halifax Hospice. Born in Eureka, Pictou Co., she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Claire Bezanson. Shirley enjoyed going to the Plus 50 club to play crib and spending time with her family and friends. She loved being around her grandchildren and spoiling them all. She was also a member of the Bedford Legion where she enjoyed playing crib and was a member of the dart league. She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Smith; brothers, Hughie, Donnie; sisters, Eleanor, Winnie, Jessie. Cremation has taken place under the care of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. As per mom's request there will be no visitation or service. A special thank you to the caregivers with Empty Gap, all the staff at Halifax Hospice for all their help and care given to Mom as well as the VON who would come out to check on her. Donations in Shirley's memory may be made to Halifax Hospice.
