- Cuzner Reverend Arthur Edward — Halifax
Died peacefully at Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII, NS, on the morning of February 3, 2023, at the age of 92 years. He was predeceased by his wife, (Shirley) and daughter, (Maureen). Born in Sydney Mines, NS, and graduating from King's College, Halifax, B.A. (1952) and St. Chad's Seminary, Regina, L.Th ( 1954), Arthur was ordained a deacon in the Anglican Church of Canada by Bishop Michael Coleman on Ascension Day, May 17, 1954, and served his curacy at the Parish of St. Matthew, Regina, Saskatchewan ( 1954-55). He was then ordained a priest and served other parishes in the Diocese of Qu'Appelle - Eston (1955-56), St. George, Moose Jaw (1956-60), before transferring to and serving in the Diocese of Calgary - Lethbridge (1960-65), Castor (1965-1968). He then returned to his native Nova Scotia in 1968 where he served parishes at Hantsport, Falkland, Maitland, Lower Sackville, and Bedford in the Diocese of Nova Scotia and PEI. In 2021 he'd come out of retirement after more than sixty years of ordained ministry to accept a license as Canon of St. Aidan's Cathedral, Halifax, and Rector of St. George, Moser River, in the Anglican Catholic Church, Diocese of Canada East. Arthur was a voracious reader, gregarious conversationalist, and life- long learner, who attended university courses and seminars well into his retirement years. He was also an accomplished pianist, organist and doting cat owner."Now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word"
