He worked as a milk truck driver with Lloyd King and was later employed with Halliburton Farms, from where he retired after 30 years. He had a passion for oxen and was a member of the Hants County Oxen Association. He enjoyed hunt­ing, fishing, gardening, snowmobiling and playing pranks on friends and family. He was pre­deceased by infant son, Stanley Anthony \'Tony\'; sister, Betty States; infant sister, Hilda; brothers, Cecil, Robert, Keith \'Mickey\' and Donald.

    Age 86 of Avonport, Kings Co., passed away Friday, September 1, 2017 in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born on February 6, 1931, in Wolfville, he was a son of the late Nathan and Dorothy (England) Myles. He was predeceased by brothers, Donald, Stanley, Robert, Budd, Keith \'Mickey\' and Cecil; sisters, Betty and Hilda. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, by request. A service, officiated by Rev. Gary Manthorne, followed by a reception, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 6, at 1021 Bluff Rd., Avonport. This is the lighthouse property of his nephew, Raye Myles where he enjoyed many wonderful times camping, watching the sunsets and the breathtaking view of the Avon River and Minas Basin.

Born in Kentville on August 29, 1965, he was a son of Vernie Myles, Hantsport and the late Carol Myles (1995). Phillip attended school in Avonport, Hantsport and Acadia University. He had been employed as a Tech Agent with Sykes. Phillip enjoyed spending time with Jason and Justice, reading, movies and baking, especially chocolates. He loved his dogs, Drake and Bailey. A private family burial will take place in Riverbank Cemetery, Hantsport.
