    Age 72, of Hantsport, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013, in his home with his family by his side. Born on September 21, 1941, in Windsor, Hants Co., Gordon was a son of the late Samuel and Verna (White) Lowthers. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Reid Lowthers. Gordon was a loving and social man who always enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He retired in 2006 from Minas Basin Pulp and Power. Gordon grew up in Sweets Corner. He excelled at hockey and running while at Hants West High School. He loved gardening and ani­mals, especially dogs. One of Gor­don’s special traits was his witty and dry sense of humour, which always made him fun to be around.
