    SALTER, Mildred Irene \'Millie\'
    Age 91, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015, in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor, where she had been a resident since 2005. She was a daughter of the late Nellie Alice (Weathers) (Salter) Prestwood and Joseph Clinton Salter. Millie was a school teacher and taught in a number of schools in Hants County. Following an illness, she was a secretary at Minas Basin Pulp and Power Company in Hantsport until her retirement. She attended St. James United Church and Hantsport Baptist Church, where she was heavily involved in many church activities from Sunday school to secretarial affairs. She was also an active member of the Sons of Temperance. Millie had a love for animals and was very fond of her cat and dog. Besides her parents, Millie was predeceased by brother, Budson Joseph Salter; sisters, Myrtle June and Gladys Gertrude Salter; stepfather, Rev. Dr. John Prestwood.
